Go ask Dana,
When she's 10 feet ta-a-a--a-h-llll

We should take her word that the administration has not used torture? When we've seen the pictures from Abu Ghraib? When there are sworn statements (not that Dana isn't under oath; the members of this administration fear perjury the way vampires fear sunlight) from people who were tortured at Gitmo and other places under the auspices of the United States? We're supposed to take her word over the evidence we have seen and heard from much more reliable sources?

I want some of what she's smoking.

That should be "note that Dana isn't under oath"; little typo that changed the meaning of the sentence. Sorry.

The Bush administration never, ever tells the truth about anything. Keep that in mind and the press conference today makes sense, in the usual distorted way. The real story here is that about a third of Americans think this is ok. Talk about mass insanity!

It's like watching a dog try to solve a math problem.

A.

(1) The following looks like a non-denial denial (remember Watergate):

Q Has the President turned over documents and allowed inspections that the Vice President's office has not done?

MS. PERINO: In terms of the White House office?

Q Yes.

MS. PERINO: I don't believe we did. No.

Q So the White House also has not allowed those same inspections that the Vice President's office --

MS. PERINO: The President has discharged, as their supervisor, the ISOO to do these investigations, on-site inspections at agencies of which the President and the Vice President are not a part.

Q Okay, so the President has not had those inspections either -- that's what you're saying?

MS. PERINO: No.

Q Okay. Has he been asked to have those inspections by the National Archives?

MS. PERINO: Not that I -- not that I'm aware. But again, it's the President that's discharging the EO, he's the sole enforcer.

(2) Why doesn't Dana get the facts? Her use of the words "I think" more than 2 dozen times indicates that, in fact, she doesn't think.

(3) The press should focus on the administration, not on the personal puff opinions of Dana Perino (who, we're often told, is not a lawyer).

(4) Does the administration have a definition for torture? If yes, what is it? If not, how can they assert we're not doing it since they don't know what it is?

Would someone please waterboard Cheney so we can get some damn answers!
