this may seem like some sort of shocking revelation to us, but to others - well, let's just say there's a reason he's called "joe sixpack". there are people in this country who remain loyal to the drunk and abusive father while blaming the bruised and battered mother for talking too much or sitting there or breathing or whatever.

Of course, he wouldn't throw out the first pitch (for the second or third consecutive season) for DC's home team because he was scared of being booed.

I suppose our country is fortunate in that Bush isn't president. He can revert to drunkeness without adverse effect on the nation, other than embarassment. President Cheney will still be in charge anyway.
