Friday Ferretblogging: Rare and Not-so-Rare Editions

A rare photo of Puck temporarily still.

A not-so-rare photo of Stripe napping in the blanket he conned me into putting in his favorite corner of the room. I can't resist that face.

Pucks not too still - I detect movement in the ever so slightly blurry image. Of course you can't resist Stripe - I mean who could. Just look at that face! When he is sleeping and looking so cute do just grab him up and give him a snuggle?
Thank you for the great pictures - it made my Friday!

Is it possible that you confuse "still" with "plotting"? I would be vewwy, vewwy careful.
They are too much. What do ferrets eat, either in the wild or in Athenae's home?

"Con"? I for one do not believe Stripe did much more than look at you. It certainly has never taken Wimsey much more than that to get his way. Lovely little furkids they are.

catherine, they're carnivores. They'll eat other small animals in the wild. At my house, they get ferret food, which is basically kitten food, very high protein/fat content. I've tried, over the years, to give all the ones I've owned actual meat. Fox only ever liked fruit which he wasn't allowed and beefsticks which weren't good for him, Joey had NO IDEA what chicken was doing in his dish and spazzed out, and Stripe just wasn't interested in anything not his kibble. We tried with Puck, too, but he backed off like we'd threatened him with a stick.
Some people I know feed theirs live mice.

A., it's good to see that Puck has the same annoying black weirdness on his tail that my Pearl has. It is annoying to wash off and stands out so strong on the dark eyed whites.
also. SQUEEEE!
