Mr. Bush dismissed comparisons between the federal response to Hurricane Katrina and the California wildfires Thursday, saying that getting help to people who are hurting is the most important thing.
"There's all kinds of time for historians to compare this response to that response," he said.
But later during a presser with Gov. Schwarzenegger he took a big backhanded swipe at Governor Blanco:
It makes a significant difference when you have somebody in the statehouse willing to take the lead.
