"Whatever it is"

Mccain_9th_2

McCain today in New Orleans Lower 9th Ward:

He also told reporters he was not sure if he would rebuild the lower 9th ward as president.

"That is why we need to go back is to have a conversation about what to do -rebuild it, tear it down, you know, whatever it is,” he said.

A good portion of what was the hardest hit area of the Lower 9th is already torn down.....just saying

adding...But let's have the conversation and I'll know McCain is serious about that when he discusses it in Indianapolis and Omaha and Miama and Seattle and.....  Until then I think whatever it is...is as dsb says:

Note: let’s hope New Orleanians don’t get so excited that a national politician has deigned to come to New Orleans that they think McCain actually gives a shit about New Orleans.

"He also told reporters he was not sure if he would rebuild the lower 9th ward as president."

Is is just me, or is his wording/sequencing incorrect? Sounds like he wouldn't rebuild the 9th Ward to be the U.S. President...?

Well, that would be nice to give that neighborhood such an honor as to be the President, but I don't think a residential enclave meets the office's requirements to be such. But it would have been nice for McInsane to hand over his wishful office to them...

That or the reporter worded that sentence wrong. I would imagine the right way (though not rebuilding it IS wrong. Get the proper flood-preventive measures and bring the area back) Onto my version (tho' not my opinion):
"He also told reporters THAT IF PRESIDENT, he was not sure if he would rebuild the lower 9th ward."

Jeesh!

he's waiting for hagee to tell him whether god says it's okay to rebuild or to just plow the whole thing under.

trying to get NOLA white for republikkkans.

technically, should not be rebuilt. levees should be reduced. the marshland needs restoring. can't it be raised? of course, what will be said when the big one hits LA?
and if i lived in LA i would worry. the big one would be the pefect end to the misadministration.

The picture reminds me of those cell phone ads where all the workers show up to demonstrate the size of the network.

and barbi/cindy sure looks 'common'.
