Oooh, Aragorn!!!
*swoons*
(no don't revive me, gimme a moment...kthxbai)

-nice long bit of reverie/fantasy...-

Okay - back now...
Right on Athenae!!! I will make a donation, too!
Peace, love and Democracy for all!!!

In the department of credit where credit is due, I have to admit that the McWarpresident II/SaracudaBearPelt ticket will bring about change. It will be, after all, a change to nationalize 17th century Puritan Massachusetts theocracy. I assume the internets will make the witch trials much more transparent...and then the accused will be found guilty and killed. Now that's change we can believe will happen.

My turkee on the other hand is going to the other change agent.

If you donate to Obama, you're sexist! (I believe someone owes me 5 McCain points. ahem!)

From what I've been seeing on the internets, McCain/Palin is a dead stick. The wingnuts have nothing but "mean to Palin!" and "liberals suck!" in their quivers, and they're running on fumes. No real support for McCain, no real faith in the Republican party, no meat on the bone.

Fuck 'em! May they live the rest of their lives in pouty-faced misery, sucking their thumbs and mumbling about Reagan.

how to we hit the gnews til they behave?
HOW DO WE MAKE THEM NOT PLAY THE SHEEPLE? WE KNOW WHAT SIDE THEY ARE ON.

RATINGS!
and obama WILL raise the gnews taxes.

As a Woman of the West, I will note that it may well be the West where this thing gets decided.

Obama's gettin' turkee from Colorado today.

One of my greatest frustrations is that I can no longer afford to continue the donations I have been making to the Obama campaign. It has come to the point where I will soon have to move again, to yet another cheaper place, to get enough money freed up to live on. Inflation is a bitch for retirees. I have to fight off my desire to send the campaign $100 every time they ask, and they ask very often. I just can't do it any more.

BTW, I'm reminded of that Happy Obama photo of him with the camera--this is the quote on the wall behind him (from the Tarheels locker room wall, fyi):

"It is within these trenches that we enjoy the pursuit of our utmost potential
so that our dreams become real on the field of battle."

JimiRayBob - I agree. But I can't help but note that 4 years ago and 8 years ago, the candidate who said that he was going to bring change, restore dignity to the WH, balance the budget, etc. said all these things and then didn't do them.

I endorse this blog post. Firefighters have a saying "If your job is the can man, be the can man." It means shut up and carry the fucking water, you're not the chief....but it also means your job needs to be done so the best way for you to help is to do your job. Unless your name is David Axelrod or David Plouffe or you know somebody who talks to them on a regular basis it's not all that productive to rub out a metawank with only a handful* of weeks until election day.

* - I have seven fingers on one hand, got a problem with that?

Yeah, but it feels sooooo good.

Besides, what else would I be doing? Work?

ebay for obama!

MapleStreet: I think Jon Stewart had the best take on that, simply by sloganing (Is that a verb? It is now.) the Daily Show's coverage of the 2008 GOP convention, "Restoring Honor and Dignity to the White House".

joejoejoe: You have seven fingers on your right hand. Someone was looking for you.

OK - you got me off my ass and I donated $100. More after my next payday. (promise)

depending on how well grandma's hoard does........
