Today on Tommy T's Obsession With The Freeperati - a slow simmering boil
Good morning, trypto-fans! I hope everyone's gotten their individual post-Thanksgiving tummy issues out of the way, because between the sullen acceptance and hysterical blue-skying about a last minute reprieve (they're so cute when they hope against hope), it's going to take a strong stomach to handle the rapture of the Freep this week.
So - check those seals and air supplies - we're going in!
First up - I just can't get enough of those PUMA threads..

We need to network our activities people. The PUMAs fooled us. I saw the exit polling data, and it showed that single/divorced woman turned out for Eclair by a wide margin. We were duped by Hillary. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on ME. We are no doubt under seige. Fascists at the top, working class moderates/liberals and the poor at the bottom.
They are very well organized, and they plan to exterminate us. Right now, they're coordinating their next move on us. We can't get involved in our minute differences. We fundamentally have the same ideals. So wake up, true conservatives. No waffling, no cowardice, an certainly no naiivete(sic)!
Why, yes - you do, don't you? It's pretty much gotten you where you are today.
The PUMAs fooled us.
Yeah - that'll happen.
And tears. Don't forget the tears! Mmmmm - yummy tears!
More micturition and moaning after the jump, so go on - you know you want to.
As you can imagine, the massacre in Mumbai has cheered them up considerably, but there's one thing nagging at them.
And now, in the "But it has to be about us all the time" department...

"They were 10 gunmen, well-trained and armed with assault rifles and grenades, officials say. They had scouted their targets ahead of time. The knew the hallways and the basements. They even carried bags of almonds for energy. Police say they were Muslim extremists from Pakistan, and may be tied to India's long-running insurgency in the disputed, largely Muslim, Himalayan region of Kashmir..."

Oh so that explains why they were looking for Americans and Jews.
"We found bullets with them, hand grenades, bombs," R.R.
Patil, deputy chief minister of Maharashtra state, said at a news conference.
"Based on our investigation, we believe they had planned to kill 5,000
people." (CNN)
Wow. 5,000 Americans and Israelis ("Jew" is not a country, dumbass) all in one hotel. Right.
The murderers must have really hated their freedom to stay in hotels.
The only thing more sickening than these vultures waving the bloody flag is when they're waving someone else's bloody flag.
And speaking of ridding the northern lands of undesirables...
Hitler - hateful, or just misunderstood?

Disgraced First Nations leader David Ahenakew tried to explain his controversial comments about Nazism and the Jews during his hate crimes trial yesterday, saying Adolf Hitler "had his reasons" for his actions during the Second World War.
~snip~
Ahenakew also said he was bothered by the fact non-aboriginals had control in Canada because it had been "wrenched away" from First Nations.
"We were absolutely captive people in our own country," he said.

Yanno, they have to be conflicted here.
On the one hand, Hitler would have shown those muzzies the showers, along with the gays and other troublemakers.
On the other hand...
Hmmm.
You can see why they're confused. They don't hate the neo-Nazis because the neo-Nazis hate dark people and "multiculturalism" and such - they hate them because they're so blatant about it.
Observe:
To: fanfan
Why is he on trial? Did he commit a crime or did he just have bad thoughts? Or even worse, did he express bad thoughts in public? If so, I guess we hang him in the marvelous, new hate-free world being ushered in by Obama.
And when we hang him, would that be our expression of love for him?
Um - you have two personal pronouns in that sentence. Which "him" were you talking about hanging?
I'm thankful for the First Amendment. If the thought police punch through that barrier and get busy down here, many people on this forum will find themselves in the dock.
Relax boys, no one wants to take away your first amendment rights. We'd lose endless entertainment value, and it's much more effective to just make ghastly fun of you in public.
Or to put it another way:
A walk down the path of history is crunchy with the crispy corpses of
those who pooh-poohed or ignored the clown car of ridicule when it
pulled-up to the curb.
Stephen Jones, from alt.religion.scientology
And speaking of making ghastly fun of Freeperati - it looks like McCain isn't the only one behind the techno curve here....
What is this "MySpace" of which you speak?

Oh fer crying out loud, guys - even I have a MySpace page, and I'm freaking 57 years old!!
I've also wondered how many of those preachers end up as drunks.
Got it.
By all means, stay in your zoo.
Lastly, Confusion about how to address the Gates' philanthropy:

For Bill and Melinda Gates family life is like a business: every six months they hold a meeting to decide what holidays they will be taking and what their children should be learning.
And despite being worth an estimated $58 billion (£37 billion), Mr and Mrs Gates would rather help out in the poorest parts of the world than be part of the cocktail party circuit that preoccupies the lives of many of the rich and famous. In an interview with The Times Magazine today, Mrs Gates says: “My mom says, ‘You know Melinda, people can’t understand why you enjoy visiting those places so much’. But I love being in the slums. That’s just a part of who I am.”
She also reveals that her husband, who made his fortune as head of Microsoft, often weeps at the stories of suffering.
They are equal partners in the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which has received $17.3 billion of their wealth. For Mrs Gates, HIV/Aids “is the number one problem that needs to get solved – and all the different initiatives it’s going to take to line that up will see us involved for the history of the foundation”.
She says that the foundation has made advances with gels that are designed to prevent the transmission of Aids: “This is the most exciting development, and they are likely to be available in, hopefully, the next seven years.”

First, we have the lassez-faire capitalists. They think it's a bit kooky for someone to give away money (mineminemineminemine), but since Gates did what they can only aspire to (that is, get rich), they have to back him up:
See? I told you he was a bit kooky.
This next one manages to get racial hatred, culture wars, ODS, and guns all into the same paragraph:
No, the only problem is when you run out of breath while saying this out loud.
It's not just the matter of them not knowing the language they profess to love, or eschewing punctuation and paragraphs.
This is really just the way their thoughts free-associate as they spew out their hatreds and fears verbally, or on the printed page.
Tony Stark is calling Bill Gates an elitist??
You're the one with the jet-propelled underwear, chum.
I’ve never figured out why the Gates’ and the Packards want to contribute so much money to eradicating their potential customer base.
Ah - back to normal.
Um - because cheap computerst wouldn't stop millions of people from dying with AIDS?
Just a guess here.
Of course, if they had oil, it'd be different.
And now, just to show that even a Freeper can be intentionally funny, I leave you with this:
As always, my thanks to Athenae for giving me the chance to post here, and my thanks to you for reading.
Let's get out of this wet HAZMAT gear and into a dry martini.

With regards to the following freeper post by "seowulf":
"I've always wondered how many converts a preacher gets when he goes into a bar to preach to drunks.
I've also wondered how many of those preachers end up as drunks."
Oh, Tommy, I fear so much that some day you'll go exploring the caverns of freeperdom and never come back. Just be careful down there, y'hear?

Not a chance.
Familiarity breeds contempt, especially with this lot, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
Every time I think they can't get any more moronic or repulsive, they prove me wrong.
