I've been hooked for a couple of years on the Amazon River cam. Soothing, watching the nice little fishies, until a 6-footer swims past.

Crazy question: As I remember it, Black-footed ferrets are from, I believe, the upper midwest and are having population problems.
There are a growing number of ferret afficianados.
Has anyone considered a captive breeding program to generate excess ferrets who would be pets ? I believe ferrets breed pretty prolifically.
From history, the big problem would be that the pet trade would then start monkeying around with the breeding to produce ferrets with strange attributes, which would then remove their usefulness as a species survival plan.
