A. that is the best bit of advice to Obama I have seen. Someone (I suggest it be you) needs to take him aside and explain a few things to him, starting with the fact that this is now, not then, and now he is President, and will be judged only by what he does, not by what was done then. The man can be infuriating at times.

let's start pointing.

On one hand, if Obama fights it a little, he can maintain a distance (kind of a "don't throw me into the Briar patch" deniability. Admittely, I cringe at the racial stereotype, but I'd say the same for someone of either race).

But he's fighting the relase too strongly. Not only do I agree with you that he is making it his, if he keeps fighting it, things will appear as if he actually was involved and perhaps an instigator.
