Sweet video poker playing Jesus. Edwards and a reality show? Somebody call Benny Rayburn and the Goodson family in so they can have the other end of that whole corrupt crew on at the same time.

Fast Eddy has always been best at fleecing them what needed fleecing.

I read an amazing book by the NOLA TP's staff called "The Rise of David Duke" and it was one of the best and creepiest books I've ever read. Still have it if you'd like a peek.

An old friend shooting freelance for the Baton Rouge newspaper was assigned about 25 years ago to go out and phtograph Duke when he lived out in Livingston Parish.

Creepy ain't the half of it. Duke always has been a little, horrible, angry, poor excuse for a man. Way too many fans of his in Louisiana and other backasswards places.

I can see the signs now:

Vote David Duke

He makes Palin look liberal!

I'll probably write in more detail about the 1991 Governor's election. It was a very weird time.

@Doc: A great book about that election is Cross To Bear by John Maginnis who's the dean of Gret Stet political writers.

@Mass: Duke hasn't won an election since 1988 and hasn't even come close since. But otherwise I agree with everything you said.
