Cain Denies New Allegations, as Woman Claims They Had 13-Year Affair
FOX News ^ | 11-28-11 | FOX NewsPosted on Monday, November 28, 2011 5:16:15 PM by Lazlo in PA
ATLANTA -- Herman Cain on Monday pre-emptively denied a forthcoming accusation by a woman who is expected to say she had a 13-year affair with the Republican presidential candidate.
In an apparent effort to get ahead of the story, Cain appeared in a cable news interview to say the woman is "someone who I know, who is an acquaintance, who I thought was a friend."
MyFoxAtlanta.com released some details of the story, which is scheduled to air Monday night, shortly after Cain appeared on CNN -- identifying the accuser as an Atlanta businesswoman named Ginger White.
"It was pretty simple," White told the station. "It wasn't complicated. I was aware that he was married. And I was also aware I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship."

To: Lazlo in PACain may deny it, but his attorney did anything but:Rather, this appears to be an accusation of private, alleged consensual conduct between adults – a subject matter which is not a proper subject of inquiry by the media or the public. No individual, whether a private citizen, a candidate for public office or a public official, should be questioned about his or her private sexual life
If Cain did not do it, he should fire his lawyer.

Only way to prove it is for her to release mobile phone text messages or something from Herman that can't be disputed. I doubt she has that. What she has is a trail of a lot of calls to/from Herman. While it doesn't prove anything it doesn't look good for Cain. Defending himself against 5 women is not a good place for Cain to be.

..To: Lazlo in PAI’m still waiting for clear and convincing evidence, not just a collection of hit and run unspecified charges. If true, I will think much less of Cain, but until there is some evidence, I’m ignoring the claims. This is exactly the same response I gave to the early charges against Bill Clinton, but I hope for a very different outcome. BTW, I predicted that the far left (Obama, mainstream media, Romney) would come up with sexual impropriety claims about Cain, whether or not it was true. This charge was inevitable in today’s political climate, even if the guy is a monk.
If this torpedoes Cain, regardless of the claim’s truth, I can still tolerate Newt, Perry, Bachmann, or some others in the race. I’d also love to see a brokered convention if we could avoid the insiders going for Romney. There is at least one superstar not in the race who I would love to see nominated.

Herman Cain Announcement LIVE THREAD (Video Feed Link)
HermanCain.com ^ | 12-03-2011
Posted on Saturday, December 03, 2011 10:18:19 AM by montag813
Herman Cain is expected to make a "major announcement" today, anytime between 11am and 1pm EST in Atlanta. The media is assuming he will quit the race. Politico is positively glowing with anticipation of this. Will he fold, or FIGHT? He is also opening a new Atlanta HQ. Twitter reports that people are jamming in early to show their support.
We simply don't know what will happen, or when it will happen. What are your thoughts? Do you think he should quit? Or do you think Cain should stay in the race and deny the State-Run Media yet another GOP scalp on a platter - for unproven allegations -while they allow a vile rapist like Clinton, or commie cokehead like Obama breeze through unscathed?
.
.To: montag813He’s either going to announce that he’ll quit the race or he’ll announce that he’s decided to get rid of HBO to save $10 a month on his cable.
Heh.
It could really go either way at this point, and nothing would surprise me.
..
To: montag813He is also opening a new Atlanta HQ.
I may be dumb, but if he’s opening a campaign HQ, he’s in.

I never NEVER seen a concession speech or withdrawl speech ramped up this way they are making the crowd announcements in Atlanta (sign up sheet for volunteers, T-shirts, etc. etc). Talking in the future tense, that kind of thing. His campaign would not authorize this kind of crowd warm up if they knew his decision was to suspend or withdrawl. And by now, they all know in the inner circle. This is going to be really fun. Wonder how Axelrod and the White House and White House RINO-dom is going to respond to something like this. I bet Mrs. Cain is with him by his side and makes a statement. I just feel it. I'll eat my words later today if it does not turn out that way.
