"by so_real ( "The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools.")"

Wait, the Congress does what now?

That tag line was so awesome that I had to enter the phrase into the Great Gazoogle.
The first result was "Fake Quotations"
The second result was "Fake History"
Almost all the other results were wingnuts touting the quote.

These really are small-town folks, simple hard working people, the salt of the earth.

Wow TT. You've been BUSY! Straining the sewage, so to speak.

(Ducky probably has phtalates, so maybe we're doing you a favor...)

Well, RE, I prefer to think of them as the santorum of the body politic, but that's just me.

The hilarity really does continue unabated, doesn't it? Mr. Jim Rob has probably been out of commission these past weeks because he's got his head in his oven.

It will only take him a few more weeks to figure out that he's got to turn the gas on.

AZ, I guess my reference wasn't as widely popular as I thought.

The original quote is:
These are small-town folks, simple hard working people, the salt of the earth... you know, morons.

As usual, I can't get more than a few lines into your Freeper report before my head explodes. This time:

"I didn't even recognize any of the names except two - one a nutcase named John Kimble - I voted against him and for Mr. Douglas."

So here is this knowledge-filled commentator on FR telling them what to do. Yet s/he hasn't even kept up with the news enough to even know the names of their candidates for Senate ? Yet they still cast a vote. And of course their sig line is puncutated by numerous military references.

Thanks Tommy T!

That was the bit that struck me too, Maple Street. The freepers consider themselves the informed Republican base but they have no idea who is running for the nomination of their party to represent them. Criminy!

Thanks, Tommy, for venturing into the morass of insanity!

Kibitzer, be a pal and grab some more popcorn please?

I didn’t think the old popper was going to be able to keep up with this, so I went over to
Tommy T's Big Top Popcorn, 152 W 64th St, Los Angeles, CA 90003, (323) 752-0998 and picked up the industrial strength version.

We'll just watch this one from outside the iso chamber, I think. [Tommy T]

Wise choice.

He [Santorum] called Obama a "dictator", and he just now referred to Romney as an "etch a sketch". [April 03, 2012 8:26:58 PM by AmericanInTokyo (Our Fearless Leader, Jim, Should "Release" Freepers to Support Santorum as Final "Anti-Romney" ASAP)]

Right, that should lock up the nomination right there.

Oh, and that tag line? I always suspected that the Freepi were mindless idiots who had to be released by some psycho before they could support a candidate. (I’m carefully trying to avoid Godwin here...)

The rest of this has just been media kabuki for the stupid. [April 03, 2012 9:08:02 PM by tcrlaf (Election 2012: THE RAPTURE OF THE DEMOCRATS)]

And hilarity for the rest of us.

[Random Freepus drivel omitted] [March 30, 2012 7:25:19 AM by true believer forever (If Newt is good enough for Sarah, he's good enough for me!)]

Or maybe a Ménage à trois?

Kibitzer and I have a side bet about whether the Freepathon will start running non-stop immediately, or next quarter. [Tommy T]

They’re up to 9% done now. They were at 8% last Monday. The non-stop Freepathon may have already started. Unfortunately, I was pretty drunk at the time and can’t remember which side I bet on :(.

I can't remember where I heard it, but the best line for Newt I have come across is, "Maybe someone should tell him that the Republican Primary has cancer - he will be gone in a flash."

The Primary reminds me of that scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where they keep sending henchmen into the trap and the henchmen keep getting their heads whacked. Essentially the Freeperati are doing the same with their anti-Mitt candidates. Next up!

Remember when they all extolled the virtues of Citizens United? And it took less than a year for it to bite them in the ass.

Glad you guys liked this one - it's why I do it (other than being afforded the opportunity to say "fuck" on the internets).

Or "fuck a duck"?

Wasn't there a passage in one of the early chapters of Shogun (the book, not the movie) where the Samurai guards were worrying that the pilot (John Blackthorne) had not had any sex in a while? They offered him a woman (and he refused), the offered him a boy (and he flew into a rage), and then they discussed the option of simply letting a duck into the room to see what would happen.

BTW, how's your new duck?

Hey Tommy T,

Thanks yet again for doing this. You're a stronger man than me! I just went on to FR for the first time out of a morbid sense of curiousity. It's like a time capsule. The site looks like something from 1995. How can a website looking like that cost $92K a quarter to maintain.

Jim Rob has a really great grift going!!
