The semi-final, kinda, sorta official numbers are in and I nailed the Presidential election. I considered doing some humble bragging but if Jude can call himself awesome, I can brag about getting it right. Time to quote, uh, me:
I think all the remaining "swing states" are swinging Obama's way. I feel very good about all my state picks except for Florida. I think the Prez is gonna win there but since Florida is the world's largest outdoor political insane asylum, I cannot be sure. But the wind is at O's back and about to blow Weathervane Willard away.
Tonight's tally of Obama 51% Mittbot 48%in the popular vote; and Obama crushing Willard 332 to 206 in the electoral vote including Florida, matches my election day prediction. I am tempted to use an exclamation point but fuck that. I'll stick to calling myself one prognosticating motherfucker.

I feel the same way, though I admit being concerned I was falling prey to living in our tiny blue dot. Most folks around us are blue, but once you cross the parish line....
Just the same, I was in the game too long to be swayed by those living in dots that were equally red. I just couldn't see that many women and minorities going Mittbot after all the shit, y'know?
It is good to be right. This time.

Hey! Just this once you could have used an exclamation point...or two! You really are amazing! You're better than Nate Silver!
While I didn't go into numbers, I did predict the election would not be that close right here on FD, but that's not nearly as amazing as your accurate numbers prediction.

Merci, mes amis. I am morally opposed to exclamation points.

I know. I know. I thrust them upon you because I didn't want you to get toooo full of yourself. A little full of yourself is fine. You have the right. :-)

Mid-summer, I told my brother "about 300 to 330, give or take Florida". But I don't have it 'in writing' so you'll have to take my word for it.

Use a couple of exclamation points. You've earned it.
Saw a picture with quotes from the network hacks early in the evening predicting Romney getting around 320 electoral votes and calling it a landslide. So I'm sure the repubs will recognize Obama's votes as a landslide ?

Adrastos, if anything was ever deserving of an exclamation point, this post would be.
Thanks for reassuring me in the Crack Van on election night. Even though I was still a little worried, your confidence helped keep me off the ledge. You were right. I salute your powers of prognostication.
