Gingrich: GOP needs to be "inclusive"
In the aftermath of Mitt Romney's presidential loss last week, Newt Gingrich is joining the cadre of Republicans calling for the Republican Party to more actively reach out to a more diverse electorate, arguing on Monday that the party needs to become more "inclusive."
"I think we need to be inclusive, and I emphasize the difference between inclusive and outreach," Gingrich said Monday morning in an appearance on ABC's "The View." "Outreach is when five white guys have a meeting and call you. Inclusive is when you're in the meeting. And I think we have to understand to be inclusive."
Gingrich, who was joined by his wife Callista on the show, argued that Republicans had "misunderstood the American people" in 2012, and that the GOP can't just wait until 2016 to try to broaden its reach.
"The Republican doctrine of highly paid consultants spending hundreds of millions of dollars on 30-second ads doesn't build a party," he said. "The Republican Party better not wait until 2016. The Republican Party better rethink in 2013 how we're going to deal with the country's issues and do it in a way that the average American looks up and says, you know, those are folks I'm willing to trust with my future. We lost that."
He added that "there were a whole series of fundamental things that were really wrong" with how the GOP framed the 2012 election, including the fact that the Obama campaign so successfully appealed to non-white voters.
*******************Oh shut up.........
This is the only reason Republicans lost the Presidency, Newt:
They chose a RINO like you.
Newt, we definitely need more Honey Boo Boos. People who can’t identify the 3 branches of government or those who are on the Supreme Court...

BS! If the Republican Party is to survive it needs to be more openly conservative. Period..

Fabulous. More pearls of wisdom brought forth while sitting amongst some of the biggest foul mouthed, ignorant shrews the entertainment business has ever known. I suppose it could be worse. I could have to sit through his and Callista’s convention speech again.
Screw the implication we’re in the wrong simply because we’re white and male.
(Tommy) No, you're in the minority, and because you're white, male, and living in the past - and a past that never really existed, at that.
We lead in the way we know is right and best for the Country. Don’t like it? Then GFY.
Why should he shut up? He’s right...To: Melas
I’m with you. Take a poll of the Free Republic ideological mindset and you might have a representative sample of about a quarter of the electorate. We want to elect a president based only on that and brand everyone else as RINOS, socialists, Marxists or idiots? Good luck with that.40 posted on Monday, November 12, 2012 12:44:57 PM by newheart (The greatest trick the left ever pulled was convincing the world it was not a religion.).

All of it, utter BS.

Ruling Class GOP Blames Me Rush Limbaugh.com ^ | November 12, 2012 | Rush Limbaugh

RUSH: Just as I predicted, ladies and gentlemen -- wait 'til you hear the sound bites -- this election was lost because of your host, Rush Limbaugh. I am the primary reason.
(Tommy) Well, it's nice to see you taking responsibility for once, viagra-boy)
There are others, but I'm the primary reason the Republican Party lost. And I am, by the way, the primary reason the Republican Party will keep losing, until I am denounced by the Republican Party. Which, I'm gonna predict to you... What is today? The 12th of November. I'm gonna lay out a possible scenario where that could happen, because we're trending in that direction.
RUSH: Do you remember that piece by Angelo Codevilla that came out in summer 2010 in the American Spectator called "The Ruling Class"? We spent a lot of time here analyzing it and talking about it. That's what we face today. And our guys in the upper echelon of the Republican Party want to fashion themselves as members of the ruling class.
We, the country class, are not in the ruling class. We're the problem. A couple of sound bites, then I'll illustrate. Let's just pick a couple at random, but grab number one. Meet the Press during the roundtable. The guest is Republican strategist Steve Schmidt, who authored the John McCain defeat against Barack Obama in 2008. Steve Schmidt, the consultant who came up with the plan that secured defeat in the presidential election, has the answer.
SCHMIDT: The Republican Party needs to get it together on its outreach to Latinos. And it's good to hear that Lindsey Graham and Chuck Schumer are going to start advancing comprehensive immigration reform again, because we have to get this off the table as a political issue for the party. And we also have to have a zero tolerance with the terrible tone that's coming out of the talk radio universe and some of our leaders in Congress who are serially disrespectful to this fastest-growing demographic in the country.
RUSH: He wasn't finished. He continued...
SCHMIDT: To too many swing voters in the country when you hear the word "conservative," now they think of loons and wackos. We gave up five US Senate seats over the last two election cycles by people who were just out there, completely extreme, manifestly unprepared for the offices that they're running for. Our elected leaders are scared to death of the conservative entertainment complex, the shrill and divisive voices that are bombastic and broadcasting out into the homes. And this country is rejecting the social extremism of the Republican Party on issue after issue.
There's more after this, mostly consisting of verbal manure like
"Do you really think that the Democrat Party will ever allow you Republicans to be seen as pro-Latino and pro-immigration? If you do, you are incompetent and unqualified."
Incompetent? It's your demographic. You see, I've heard who advertises on your show.
"Unqualified"? For what exacly? Walking and chewing gum at the same time?
Let's see how Dittohead Nation is reacting to El Flushbo's frantic attempts to evade blame for making the GOP look like it is peopled entirely by the Freeperati:
All I know is that I have listened to my very last pundit, announcer, analyst, etc. No more talk radio and no more news entertainment. Someone sold us a bill of goods and I, for one, am quite unhappy.
I’ll hang out here and my various sites and keep doing all the research myself. All those people want to do is stay employed by making us watch/listen. I’m done...
Good for you!!!
I shut down the hannity, limbaugh, levin networks several years ago and switched to music...
I have been much happier with the world around me...
having tuned out for several years, I have discovered one thing..
they are all republican hacks.. oh sure, they can spout off some crap to make you go Hmmmmm....
but in the end they will all back and support the republican position, whatever it may be...
tune out the pundits telling you what to think and when to think it, and start thinking for yourself..
you will be surprised at how intelligent you actually are!!!4 posted on Monday, November 12, 2012 1:42:41 PM by joe fonebone (The clueless... they walk among us, and they vote...)..

ITA! I also find it strange that Rush Limbaugh is going on about the “ruling class”. Isn’t he himself with all his money and stature a member of it? JMHO
We request that Obama be impeached for the following reasons.

We request that Barack Obama be impeached for the following reasons.
1. He proclaimed war in libya without getting congress approval first. Article I, Section 8- Only congress can approve to start war.
2. Obamacare is unconstitutional. Forcing US citizens to get health insurance whether they want it or not.
3. Obama disrespects our Constitution calling it flawed and trying to change it even after taking this oath:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States,
and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."4. Appointing agency “czars” without Senate approval.
To: Olog-haiBuddy of mine was warned explicitly not to sign any of these petitions - it could "jeopardize" is clearance and his job. I think that's interesting - someone it taking this kind of thing seriously.
Illiterats(sic) have a right to speak too,
and send impeachment petitions to the White Hut!
I would think his own followers will want him impeached just because every state in America has started a petition to secede.
To: modernline2009You're sending an Obama impeachment petition to the White House.....

Post-election season is a time for healing, for putting aside the rancor of a long campaign and rediscovering what unites us. It has not been that way this year.
Prudence, one would think, if not generosity of spirit, should impel Democrats to be magnanimous in victory. Romney did receive about 48 percent of the vote. A little modesty among the winners would seem to be in order.
Instead, the gloating has been extravagant. Worse, liberals have gorged themselves on the same junk food they enjoyed during the campaign and cannot seem to resist under any circumstances -- slandering their opponents. The smears are so casual and commonplace that we become weary of responding. But we must protest, or someone new to politics may assume that we concede the point.
Appearing on "Meet the Press", documentary filmmaker Ken Burns attributed conservative unhappiness with the election to racism. "Race is always there in America," Burns opined. "It's always something we don't want to talk about. Do you think we'd have a secession movement -- a faddish movement -- if this president wasn't [sic] African-American? Do you think the vitriol that came out of some elements of the Tea Party?"
Ken Burns is a fine filmmaker. I met him once, and I found him to be engaging and amiable. It's painful to see him descend to this kind of defamation. Some disappointed Republicans are talking secession in Texas and elsewhere. This is proof of racism? Is this the standard of evidence Burns employs for his films?
To: KaslinIs this the standard of evidence Burns employs for his films?
Yes. Hadn't you noticed?
I find it hard to accept, too, Mona, but no matter how "engaging and amiable" a leftist seems to be on the surface, he's almost certainly a Stalin or Mugabe at heart.2 posted on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 6:54:24 AM by Tax-chick (Are you getting ready for the Advent Kitteh?)..

Santorum: 'I'm open' to 2016 bid

(CNN) - Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum hinted Monday he may see another presidential run in his future.
"I'm open to that possibility," the Republican said when asked on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" about a 2016 White House bid.

"But we're a long way..." he added, pausing, then continuing, "I'm focused right now on trying to stay involved in the fray and make sure that we do the right thing up on Capitol Hill right now."Santorum proved a tough opponent to Mitt Romney during the Republican presidential primary, ultimately forcing the contest to run as late as April when Santorum dropped his bid and paved the way for Romney to clinch the nomination.
Yes but what about Palin?
Well, Santorum did a nice spoiler job on Romney, making sure he was broke throughout the summer and softened up for Obama...

To: rurganA leader like Palin could turn out us Americans as we did in Louisiana at 70% in 2012
Definitely - turning out people to vote against her.
Out here in the real word living in a swing state, and actually talking to independents, and a lot of people that mostly vote Republican - people literally burst out laughing at the idea of her running for President. There is such general contempt for her that is infinitely beyond that felt for Romney that it is inconceivable it could ever be overcome.
She'd probably be running against Hilary and would do worse with women than Romney.

A man who killed two teenagers in his home in Little Falls on Thanksgiving Day told investigators he shot and wounded the two at close range before "finishing" them with shots to the head.
Byron David Smith, 64, was charged Monday, Nov. 26, in Morrison County District Court with two counts of second-degree murder without premeditation in the deaths of Nicholas Brady, 17, and his cousin Haile Kifer, 18.Smith claims Brady and Kifer broke into his home and he was "fearful" they had weapons, according to the criminal complaint.*************

Aaaaw, poor kids. I bet they won’t be committing home invasion and other crimes...
I think of it this way: this little “tragedy” was actually a cleanup where 3 criminals were taken off the streets...
That is how real home invaders should be treated though.(Tommy) Of course, one Freeper insists on actually pointing a few details out:.
You should read the article. He is sitting in the basement, and shoots them with a .223 as they come down the stairs.
(according to him, the boy comes down the stairs and he shoots him twice with a mini-14. Then he drags the body away. Then he says the girl comes down the stairs into the same basement where the 223 has just been fired twice, indoors. O-kkkk, i believe that)
But that could probably still be ok, even if many people could have handled it better.
But then he says the girl laughed at him. (Thats in his estimation). Thats right, the 18 year old girl punched from 10 feet with a .223, seeing her dead companion/bf with his head splattered with a 223, giggled at him. (i suppose anything is -possible-on some level)
So he gets a .22 pistol, and shoots her numerous times in the chest.
He drags her across the floor and lays her beside where he already dragged the boy he shot. He sees she is still gasping to breathe. So he puts the 22 under her chin and does a “good clean finishing shot”.
Then he waits another day before calling the cops.
Creepy ba$tard -should- be toast.
