Gingrich: GOP needs to be "inclusive"
In the aftermath of Mitt Romney's presidential loss last week, Newt Gingrich is joining the cadre of Republicans calling for the Republican Party to more actively reach out to a more diverse electorate, arguing on Monday that the party needs to become more "inclusive."
"I think we need to be inclusive, and I emphasize the difference between inclusive and outreach," Gingrich said Monday morning in an appearance on ABC's "The View." "Outreach is when five white guys have a meeting and call you. Inclusive is when you're in the meeting. And I think we have to understand to be inclusive."
Gingrich, who was joined by his wife Callista on the show, argued that Republicans had "misunderstood the American people" in 2012, and that the GOP can't just wait until 2016 to try to broaden its reach.
"The Republican doctrine of highly paid consultants spending hundreds of millions of dollars on 30-second ads doesn't build a party," he said. "The Republican Party better not wait until 2016. The Republican Party better rethink in 2013 how we're going to deal with the country's issues and do it in a way that the average American looks up and says, you know, those are folks I'm willing to trust with my future. We lost that."
He added that "there were a whole series of fundamental things that were really wrong" with how the GOP framed the 2012 election, including the fact that the Obama campaign so successfully appealed to non-white voters.

And we also have to have a zero tolerance with the terrible tone that's coming out of the talk radio universe and some of our leaders in Congress who are serially disrespectful to this fastest-growing demographic in the country.

SCHMIDT: To too many swing voters in the country when you hear the word "conservative," now they think of loons and wackos. We gave up five US Senate seats over the last two election cycles by people who were just out there, completely extreme, manifestly unprepared for the offices that they're running for. Our elected leaders are scared to death of the conservative entertainment complex, the shrill and divisive voices that are bombastic and broadcasting out into the homes. And this country is rejecting the social extremism of the Republican Party on issue after issue.

I have been much happier with the world around me...
having tuned out for several years, I have discovered one thing..
they are all republican hacks.. oh sure, they can spout off some crap to make you go Hmmmmm....
but in the end they will all back and support the republican position, whatever it may be...
tune out the pundits telling you what to think and when to think it, and start thinking for yourself..

We request that Barack Obama be impeached for the following reasons.
1. He proclaimed war in libya without getting congress approval first. Article I, Section 8- Only congress can approve to start war.
2. Obamacare is unconstitutional. Forcing US citizens to get health insurance whether they want it or not.
3. Obama disrespects our Constitution calling it flawed and trying to change it even after taking this oath:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States,
and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
4. Appointing agency “czars” without Senate approval.

Ken Burns is a fine filmmaker. I met him once, and I found him to be engaging and amiable. It's painful to see him descend to this kind of defamation. Some disappointed Republicans are talking secession in Texas and elsewhere. This is proof of racism? Is this the standard of evidence Burns employs for his films?

Out here in the real word living in a swing state, and actually talking to independents, and a lot of people that mostly vote Republican - people literally burst out laughing at the idea of her running for President. There is such general contempt for her that is infinitely beyond that felt for Romney that it is inconceivable it could ever be overcome.
She'd probably be running against Hilary and would do worse with women than Romney.

A man who killed two teenagers in his home in Little Falls on Thanksgiving Day told investigators he shot and wounded the two at close range before "finishing" them with shots to the head.
Byron David Smith, 64, was charged Monday, Nov. 26, in Morrison County District Court with two counts of second-degree murder without premeditation in the deaths of Nicholas Brady, 17, and his cousin Haile Kifer, 18.
Smith claims Brady and Kifer broke into his home and he was "fearful" they had weapons, according to the criminal complaint.*************

I've already accidentally run across a YouTube trying to make a case that Newton was a false flag operation.
Tying in with the more serious threads of late, part of the violence some apparently teach isn't guns just to defend yourself, but guns to finish the person off. Even in stand your ground states, once the threat is removed, you can't keep firing. But the MN case (and the people commenting on it) shows is that the guns aren't to remove a threat, but to extract revenge.
Of course, one of my relatives has in the last couple of days posted an article from wnd saying a clerk in Hawaii has a sworn statement that he was told there was no Obama birth certificate. Of course, he hasn't worked for Hawaii since 2008. But that doesn't stop the echo.
And there's a photo floating around facebook showing the faces of those the repubs have put in as the head of committeess (a bunch of old white men) and corresponding montage of those put in charge by the Dems (a diverse group).
