To: SWAMPSNIPERYou mean like this one
To: SWAMPSNIPER
I will panic some about the Senate races:
To Richard Mourdock, Todd Akin and the rest of my fellow conservatives:
Repeat after me:
The next time you are asked about rape stow the religious answers away and give the liberal answer.
And what the fuck is "the liberal answer"?? "Rape is bad, mmmkay?"
WE WILL NOT HOLD IT AGAINST YOU.
We know where you really stand!
Unfortunately for the "forcible rape" gang, so do women.
Mourdock had no reason to lose an election in a heavy Romney victory state. This is an unforced error. If Akin blows it too then will WE PLEASE NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE NEXT TIME???
Stop trying to thread the needle on rape.
To: cripplecreekIt doesn’t look like we’ll be losing anything in the senate

CBS has got OH leaning to Obama. Hope this isn’t true.
CNN is jubilant about returns in CO. I’m waiting to hear what Rove says.
To: SWAMPSNIPERFaux News just called Ohio for Bammy. Do I have your damn permission to panic now?

Vanity: I was wrong and I'm done projecting elections
Posted on Tuesday, November 06, 2012 10:49:23 PM by HamiltonJayOkay, I was wrong so I'm done tryin to call elections. 4 years from now I am just going to say nothing.
How anyone can fail so fully and win re-election is beyond me.
Obviously America is becoming a nation of takers and not makers.
So flame away. I was wrong, horribly so, so go ahead and take your shots.

To: HamiltonJayAt least you spared me weeks of anxiety. You, Ravi, Ls et al. comforted for some time.
Now, I just don’t know what to do. It all seems futile.
To: HamiltonJayThe lesson learned is that there are no political saviors out there, no one is coming....not now, not 2016, not ever.....just live your own lives and F politics, I’m done.
..
To: HamiltonJayI also was wrong, utterly wrong, with my prediction that "it's over for Obama," made last Thursday 1 November.I'm embarrassed. I will try never to do that again.
Obviously the MSM understand America ‒ the new America ‒ much better than I.
We must adapt to survive. Not give up, adapt.
Another Reagan will emerge. Things haven't gotten bad enough for that to happen yet. Romney didn't have it, that's obvious. Many here knew it last spring, including Jim Robinson.
Maybe Newt could have done it. I have my doubts. Anyway, it's a waste of time worrying about it.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. We at least got the 47%-53% thing right. Only now we’re the 47%, but who knew?
But rest assured, the tyranny of the majority (i.e., slavery) has never worked out, so eventually we’ll be free again. At least, those of us who survive the coming years. Good luck, everyone!

To: SoCal PubbieNate Silver is the man. Sorry to say. He called it exactly right.
To: HamiltonJayNo flaming from me. I had better hope for this country. I don’t recognize what America has become. I am just in a state of total disbelief. I don’t understand how people can vote for him. I’m sworn off politics for awhile I think. This is more than I can take right now.
To: HamiltonJayYou and me both. I’ve been telling everyone, confidently, that this would be a R/R landslide. I’ve never been more wrong about a Presidential Election in my life. No more predicting for me...time for bullets & butter, I fear.
To: ari-freedom
You might be right.
I thought the Tea Party/John Galt crowd was the upcoming wave, but now it looks like they were a flash in the pan.
How on Earth can the GOP run a successful campaign once things have changed this deeply?
Here in Oregon we used to elect Republicans now there is no chance in Hell that another Pubbie will ever hold statewide office, I think the same can be said for the nation as a whole, unless we have a total collapse, which probably won’t happen.
We’ll just become another Greece or France...
...with a One Trillion Dollar armed forces budget...
Damn it, this has been a day from Hell.

To: HamiltonJayWe all thank you for being done.

The Obama Youth Brigade Gesture similar to Hitler Youth Brigade's

Obama's Eviction Notice: November 2012
"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions." --Adolf Hitler, Quoted in John Toland, "Adolf Hitler", p22 4.
The hand sign on the right is that made by The hands of the Führer Adolf Hitler as he organized his speech. This picture captures Hitler's hands as he speaks of the unity of the National Socialist and socialist ideas. Not sure how true this is, but it is worth a look. Picture at link...
To: NachumThere are many similarities between Obama and Hitler.

To: NachumI have never seen that picture attributed to Hitler. I have been through a host of WWII material, and never seen anything but the raised arm Nazi salute.
That having been said, the other similarities between obama-shits and HitlerYouth are chilling.
My father killed many former Hitler Jugend during his war and I will be glad to answer the call to duty during the next war, if it ever comes to that.

"what's the story with the imaginary O symbol and hitler's hands?"
Apparently, Hitler once made this gesture and then swept his hands down / apart, signifying "Everything", or "You're safe!" or maybe "Just wait until I'm reincarnated as a black guy!"

yes, it is true, Hilter was signaling Obama, he was able to see the future, an amazing fact, not known by many. Funny thing though, he had journaled once that there was one day he was not seeing so clearly, something about a bunker and Eva Braun....probalby nothing
I love reading these comments from the freaks, makes my day, thanks Tommy

BUAIDH NO BAS!
Interesting the poster should say this (MacDougall Clan motto, to conquer or die / victory or death).
Just last night I was watching a Netflix movie that was footage from White Supremacist rally with some supplementary footage from other locations. Of course it had a lot of folks in Nazi garb. But it also had almost as many folks in Irish/Scottish garb (ranging from the distinctive hats to sashes in plaid to kilts. Included bagpipes playing). I had never been aware of allegations of a connection between White Supremacists and kilts.
Need to do a little more research. But I am finding an inkling that while not all Scottish Games / Scottish - Irish heritage groups have any sort of white-power background, among the Supremecists there is a thread of the English nations being the blessed.

Didn't know the raised hand salute was used in the USA. Interesting.
Of course, could really blow the Freepers' minds by noting that the industrialists (that would be the Ayn Rand-loving 47% and especially that upper 1%) in the USA were in sympathy, if not support, of Hitler. This included the idea of sterilization and other forms of eugenics.
It was only after Pearl Harbor that we got into the war (and if you want to delve into tinfoil hat conspiracy, was Pearl Harbor a false flag attack ?)
Of course, involvement in WW II was a hotly debated topic. No groups was 100%. But the demographic of strong support of Hitler (and staying out of the war as a form of we'll take care of ourselves and not work to bring peace elsewhere, not even through diplomatic channels) were the upper class industrialists and medical establishment. (Speaking of the medical establishment, in Nazi Germany the group that was most likely to join the party were the medical doctors who then began a program of eugenics).
I believe it was Prescott Bush who both was thought to have ties to an attempted presidential assasination as well as found laundering money to Germany (funny how older Bush in the 20s and 30s defied a ban on illegally defying an embargo - sending money to support Germany. GHWB was big CIA with probable laundering money to poppy growers in Afghanistan and links to the Iran-Contra illegal weapons involvement. And GWB put the embargo on terrrorist organizations.)
Ford translated and distributed Nazi anti-semitic pamphlets (including comparing Jews to vermin).
etc.
BTW - just looked it up. By wiki, Mitt Romney's father lived 1907 - 1995 and became chairman and prez of AMC in 1954.

If you can't tell the difference between a winged staff with snakes wrapped around it and an eagle above a swastika, you're definitely a wingnut.
Perhaps the party whose propaganda arm seems to be addicted to Goebbels' Big Lie shouldn't be so quick to cast aspersions of Nazi-like behaviour.

On another subject, I think we need recheck the seals on some of the drums. I was over in the "Evolution is Not Science" tunnel the other night and popped open a random drum. It was based one of those "evolution is not science because it can't be tested because it happened in the past" articles.
I figured it was worth a quick skim, but as soon as I started reading I found that something was not right. I think most of the stupid must have leaked out somehow. One of the early replies was:
OK, that could have been a troll, but the first fifty replies were a (mostly) coherent discussion of how the scientific method could be applied to events that were not exactly reproducible, how isotope decay works, whether physical laws change over time, etc. Yes, there were a few "I trust God and God alone" replies, but on the whole it was mostly sane. It goes on for about 275 replies. I didn't read them all, but a random sampling indicates that the sanity persists to the end. Very weird.
Now I have to track down where all the batshit crazy got to after it leaked out.
